Flint Hills Technical College offers 15 programs of study along with a variety of short-term training courses and continuing education courses. Classes are small with an average 15 to 1, student to faculty ratio. You get to know your instructors and they'll get to know you. You are not just a number.

Students at FHTC enjoy the hands-on experience--about 30 percent of your classes will be theory/lecture and about 70% will be in the lab environment. You get to learn and practice on a daily basis in classes what you'll be doing on the job!

The student will demonstrate proficiency in basic computer skills related to the power plant technology field. This will include proficiencies in setting up and using spreadsheets with Excel; preparing professional presentations with Power Point; proficiency in using and editing with WORD; understanding of basic computer nomenclature and ability to navigate through files; and ability to navigate the internet for industry related sites and information.
