IS235 Catalog Description: This course will afford the student an opportunity to install, configure, administrate, and troubleshoot the Linux operating system in a vendor neutral environment. It is a hybrid between survey and practicum. Attention will be given to basic commands of the Linux operating system in addition to file, device, and directory management. The class will also include exposure to networking and system services as well as in-depth understanding of the structural organization of the file system.
