This course will enable the student to examine the dynamics, development, ethical issues and theoretical approaches to group counseling. The student will examine and apply effective ways of helping those with substance abuse or dependency issues in a group setting and will begin to prepare to enter the field of addiction treatment services and/or another helping profession.
