Flint Hills Technical College offers 15 programs of study along with a variety of short-term training courses and continuing education courses. Classes are small with an average 15 to 1, student to faculty ratio. You get to know your instructors and they'll get to know you. You are not just a number.

Students at FHTC enjoy the hands-on experience--about 30 percent of your classes will be theory/lecture and about 70% will be in the lab environment. You get to learn and practice on a daily basis in classes what you'll be doing on the job!

Students use selected power plant systems to integrate individual equipment theory and apply fundamental scientific concepts. They analyze system configuration and operation to comprehend the tasks performed by maintenance and operations personnel. (Students must meet minimum ACT or ASSET Test scores to enter the program.
