Flint Hills Technical College

Flint Hills Technical College offers 15 programs of study along with a variety of short-term training courses and continuing education courses. Classes are small with an average 15 to 1, student to faculty ratio. You get to know your instructors and they'll get to know you. You are not just a number.

Students at FHTC enjoy the hands-on experience--about 30 percent of your classes will be theory/lecture and about 70% will be in the lab environment. You get to learn and practice on a daily basis in classes what you'll be doing on the job!

Students will learn the safe and correct materials to rig and lift loads. They will learn rigging requirements and types of connectors in order to perform safe lifts. In addition, students will be exposed to the operational requirements and limits of lift equipment such as a fork lifts, boom trucks, and various types of cranes.
